"Look at everything as though you are seeing it for the first time, with eyes of a child, fresh with wonder."
~ Joseph Cornell

  1. I love this. I love this photo too, it's charming. My mother used to quote this to me. Thank you. It's beautiful.

  2. I'm so glad that you like it and the pic. I remember hearing this, also, but didn't know the source until I stumbled upon this quote.

  3. OK, so with "NEW" and wondrous eyes, I looked around today and saw:

that C.C. needs to be brushed.
that the dishes in the sink needed putting in the dishwasher.
that the floor, it needs sweeping. still my guitar gently weeps.....
    that the world, it's turning.
that my grey hairs are becoming more numerous by the day.
that bluebonnets are beginning to spring up in our front yard.

And there ya have it. The good, the bad, and the ugly from my point of view.

And wonder of wonders, what a wonderful world!

  4. Good on you for the J. Cornell quote. He's cool.

  5. The best advice anyone can ever give is to see the world through a child's eyes and live in the moment. Love the post and pic.
