WORN OUT: RECHARGING

Not long after daughter and Grandlove left, Bentley claimed his comfort spot and passed out.  He had to be with the baby throughout the entire visit and fretted constantly when closed doors kept him separated for all the action.  Kissing the baby, catching flying food from the high chair and getting belly rubs kept this little guy on high alert for the duration of the visit.  His "nap" lasted for quite a long while and a few squeaky, sleepy yips punctuated his dreaming.  If he could talk, he probably would let us know that he likes it when the company comes, but he LOVES it when they go home.

  1. This is so familiar!

My dog sleeps for two days after Jake leaves!

    I do the same.

  2. Yep. But it's a good kind of tired, eh?

I have two small dynamos that sure do tend to sleep well at night, as does their "mom", after playing and feeding not only them, but the rest of the menagerie indoors and out, and has to force herself these days to carve out enough time to read the paper and catch up on bills, you know, those little things that we sometimes forget after a long day at the lab, a winding drive home, long-distance discussion with dad who is currently in Conroe visiting his mother who is in the hospital and has been for a week now, and........etc., etc., etc.....

Geez, why does Yul Brynner pop into my head when I do that?

Weird post? Yeah, it's been that kind of week. And I'm tired now.

But it's a good kind of tired. :)
